IHC Merwede Group, through local agent Machinery Supply, has released the Minebooster 1100, said to be the biggest hydraulic excavator available.
With an operating weight of around 1200 tonnes, and installed power of 3600 kW, the unit is rated up to 90 cu.m as a shovel and 70 cu.m as a backhoe. The unit has a maximum reach of 34m, and a digging depth of 16m.
The design incorporates built-in redundancies which include the ability to operate on one power pack, independent hydraulic oil cooling system and a state-of-the-art control system with technical services accessed via three high performance PLCs and a server via UMTS (3G). Each Minebooster will have a unique IP address accessed on the internet.
The Minebooster has been developed for mining services from a dredger series used in dredging and wet mining.
