CATERPILLAR has developed a specialised chassis for the Water Truck (WTR) market, designed to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
The Cat 773F WTR and 777F WTR Off-Highway Trucks and the 785D WTR Mining Truck will be the first Water Truck (WTR) models available to the market.
The Roll-Over Protection System (ROPS) on WTR models is certified to the ISO-3471 Tractor rating.
According to the company, the corresponding off-highway and mining truck chassis for these specific models no longer carry the Tractor ROPS certification.
Caterpillar says the 773F WTR and 777F WTR models should not be used for tow tractor applications. Tow tractor configurations for these models are not directly available from the company.
