SEMCO Equipment Sales says the Takeuchi TB128FR excavator offers increased operator comfort, added power and safety innovations.
The distributer says TB128FR (full radius offset boom) zero-swing excavator represents a major advance on its TB28 predecessor. The machine’s heavier construction and improved weight distribution is said to provide better balance and stability, while its unique 'FR' offset link permits digging and loading through 180 degrees between two walls.
Semco’s Graham Murphy says an enlarged and spacious ROPS/FOPS compartment with heating, panoramic view and a six way multi-adjustable operators seat ensures all day comfort and operator efficiency. There is also a wider door opening, extended cab length, roll up front window with gas assisted spring lift. The redesigned interior is fitted with added storage facilities and radio with an MP3 jack.
Other features include a new engine with Takeuchi’s emission compliant system that is claimed to meet the world’s most stringent environmental regulations, larger fuel capacity, improved lifting capacity and an anti drift valve for the boom. Optional boom holding and arm craning valves with alarm system are also available.
Takeuchi has updated the engine monitoring system on this model with audible and easy to read visual warnings for oil pressure and coolant status. Unencumbered engine access is activated by a simple to operate tilt forward operator’s platform.
The designers have incorporated short pitch rubber tracks for high manoeuvrability, while double flanged track rollers provide increased roller to rail contact. Other useful features include a push button decel system and a conveniently located two speed travel switch operating automatic step down motors.
